Dead H0rse Point State Park in Utah.
Располож Perched on a dramatic desert plateau in Utah, Dead Horse Point State Park is a breathtaking 5,300-acre peninsula rising over 2,000 feet above the Colorado River.
From this vantage point, the land unfolds in silence, a vast, sculpted world of canyons, cliffs, and winding water stretching for more than 30 miles.
Behind the park’s beauty lies a haunting story.
In the late 19th century, cowboys reportedly used this narrow mesa connected to the mainland by a thin strip of land as a natural corral for wild mustangs.
They would select the strongest horses…and leave the rest behind.
Trapped without water, the animals were said to have perished here within sight of the Colorado River far below.
Whether legend or truth, the story lingers in the stillness of the landscape.
300 Million Years Beneath Your Feet.

- Fort Apache (1948).
